We had a great turnout for the fourth annual Latin Music night held at the Yardbird Suite Oct. 25th.

As always, a huge thank you to the performers: Lisi Sommer, Chris Brown, Nico Arnaez and Caleb Hunt; tango dancers Vicente and Cristina Munoz and Pam Wight and Raymond; Jorge Vargas and Ereni Perez and Benjamin, and Marco Claveria. Photos from the event can be seen here:

Once again we have some sensational performers scheduled to perform at our Latin Music Night. Come out enjoy great music, a tango demonstration, and bid on some fantastic items. Finger food and non-alcoholic drinks included in the ticket price.

Fifth Annual Peruvian Dinner Successful

More than 70 people attended the fifth annual Peruvian dinner Sept. 12th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. In addition to the wonderful food, again prepared by Carla Tamayo Aragon, we also were entertained by singer Jorge Vargas. Guests also bought at the silent auction including jewelry and alpaca wool items from Peru.

Our next Peruvian dinner fundraiser will be held Saturday Sept 12th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Once again Carla Tamayo Aragon will be the marvelous cook for the dinner. We’ll also have a silent auction with many items from Peru as well as local businesses.

Thanks to all who came out and supported the SUPC Society Latin Music Night Fundraiser. We had a great evening of music, tango demonstration, and companionship.

Fourth Annual Peruvian Dinner fundraiser a success

About 75 people attended our fourth annual Peruvian dinner September 21st at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Edmonton. In addition to the wonderful food, once again prepared by Carla Tamayo Aragon, we had a silent auction and performance by Peruvian singer Rochy Rios.

Third Annual Peruvian Dinner a huge success!

More than 100 people attended our third annual Peruvian dinner, Sunday Nov. 17^th at the Yardbird Suite in Edmonton. This year we combined the dinner with the Latin Music night – the two events were held separately last year.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support SUPC, made donations and bought silent auction items. A special thanks to those who donated items for the auction, to Carla Tamayo for her wonderful food, to Pam and Lisi from the Yardbird for all their work as well as Yardbird volunteers Deidre and Marian. SUPC Board members Aisha, Carmen and Vicky also helped make the evening a success.
